The European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) is a flourishing international association of surgeons, trainees and health professionals with an interest in coloproctology.
ESCP’s 2019 conference welcomed over 1,700 delegates. Year-round its membership collaborate on medical research and clinical guidelines, and provide educational opportunities for members.
I have been the main content editor on ESCP’s website since 2009, providing continuity and back-up for Secretariat staff when they need it. Here are some of the jobs I do:
- News and events updates
- Setting up and populating the conference pages each year
- Developing new content areas
- Adding videos and documents to the members’ resource library
- Identifying bugs and site improvements
- Staff training
- Consultancy for site redesigns
I’ve also worked with ESCP committee members in developing the resource library.
We’re always confident that Alison will get things done quickly and with care. She is happy to train new members of our team to update the site as well.
When appropriate, she will work directly with committee members to ensure a specific content development project runs smoothly and to meet deadlines.
We value her opinion and input into the technical development of the site and the way she explains things in jargon-free terms – we’re not developers but need to know what’s going on.
